Setting the Time on Your Meter

Setting or changing the time on your meter is easy. Just find the instructions below for the monitoring system you are using. For further details, download the owner's guide for your meter.

FreeStyle® Lite, FreeStyle Flash® and FreeStyle Freedom® Blood Glucose Monitoring Systems

1. To enter "Set-Up Mode," start with the meter in clock mode and no test strip inserted. Press and firmly hold the "m" button until the SET display screen appears. To move through the set-up screens, press the "m" button until you reach the Time screen.
2. With the hour blinking, press the "c" button until the correct hour appears. If using the 12-hour time format, the display will only indicate "P".
3. Press the "m" button to bring up the blinking "MINUTE" display screen. With the minute blinking, press the "c" button until the correct minute appears.
4. Press the "m" button to bring up the blinking time format (12 or 24 hour) setting. With the time format blinking, press the "c" button until the correct time format appears.
5. To exit "Set-Up" Mode, press and hold the "m" button until the meter turns off and returns to the clock mode.

Before you start, please note: "Press and Hold" means that you press the button in for at least 2 seconds. "Press and Release" means that you press the button and let it go quickly. Press and Hold the button to turn the monitor off and save your settings at any time. The monitor automatically turns off after 30 seconds of no action. If you like the setting that you see on your monitor and do not want to change it, Press and Release the button to move to the next setup option.

Hour: The Hour flashes on and off.

1. Press and Release the  button to move the hour forward
2. If you go past the correct hour, Press and Release the  button to move the hour back
3. Press and Release the  button to save the hour and to move to minutes

Minutes: The Minutes flash on and off.

1. Press and Release the  button to move the minutes forward
2. If you go past the correct minute, Press and Release the  button to move the minutes back
3. Press and Release the  button to save the minute
